Our garden bird list

black backed gull
blackbird
black cap
bluetit (they have bred in our nest boxes)
bull finch
chaffinch
chicken (there was a chicken farm nearby – we have eaten one egg laid in the front garden)
collared dove
crow
goldcrest
goldfinch
great tit (they have bred in our nest boxes)
greater spotted woodpecker (including juveniles)
green parakeet
green woodpecker
greenfinch
heron (not exactly welcome, but we have netting over the pond to protect the fish)
jackdaw (an impressive, if noisy, flock of what looks like several hundred on their evening "patrol", and obvious noisy territorial disputes throughout the day)
jay
kestrel (in the field beyond our garden, being flown by its owner / trainer)
long-tailed tit
magpie
nuthatch
pheasant
red kite (swooping low over the lawn in snow, and a common sight overhead)
robin (they have brought juveniles into the garden, so have bred here or nearby)
stock dove

... and not forgetting who eats most of what is on the bird table and in the nut feeders
